Associate of (ISC)² worth while?

Im looking into getting into the Network security field, and saw that while i cannot earn a cissp or sscp without years in the field, you can get a Associate of (ISC)² (which to my understanding just means you have taken and passed one of those exams but have not yet aquired the work experience to have an official cert title).

Is this something you can put on a resume, and is it worth while to try and achieve? I know the cissp is regarded rather well, but will having passed the test but not have the work experience to aquire the official cissp and instead get a Associate of (ISC)² have any kind of wieght or look well for someone starting out?
